Friday 24th of July and an early start for an much anticipated event the Monkey.
The sign up is an early one but the seasoned campaigners are already and waiting for the off. Today mystery tour takes us to sunny Koh Larne, For me this personally added to the enjoyment as the event is somewhere different, the boat journey is around an hour or so a bit bumpy and felt good to get off.
Our hares today, Festering Streaker and Up and Down Dick. I think its worth mentioning the time and effort of the hares that they put in to organize the event so a big Thank You to the hares for that..
On a more negative note it came to my attention that some so called hasher had been breaking the checks and pointing them the Wrong Way. This caused other hashers to be infested by red ants and hurting them-selves, to the unsporting like person who did this get a grip of your actions as this is not acceptable for any reason what so ever...
Back to the run the first half was not for the faint hearted plenty of rock climbing and absailing to be done climbing and rock hopping to say the least. The run then climbed up into the streets of Koh Larne which made pleasant sight seeing for all. The first leg of the run was around 6 kilometer or so before a welcomed pit in for drinks and refreshments.
The second phase of the run found some more mountains to climb as you would expect on the monkey, The heat off the day made the climbs tough but the monkeys dealt with it well as you would expect from this hard core bunch. The run descends back to the beach to a pleasant on in. This is a great place to end the run and grab some more refreshment.
Some time later the circle was called for more fun and games and liquid refreshment, a great time was had by all and alas its back to Pattaya to the on in for good food and entertainment.
